Custard’s Last Stand

They Say...

Everyone we hand it to – loves it. The next question is usually “Where can I get it?” No flowery description required: it’s thick; it’s creamy; it’s decadent; it’s vanilla custard. Some believe it’s better than GVC – no, I’m not kidding. It’s as close to an all day vape as we have ever experienced – truth be told, it’s hard to put it down. WARNING: This product has been scientifically proven to be highly addictive and cause reorders.

Custard’s Last Stand

Added by theinlawjosie

Got my first e-cig a couple of years ago - it was a cig-a-like from smoker's savior and I didn't enjoy it at all. Gave up on the whole idea and went back to smoking until May of this year (2013). I discovered ECF and started reading up on proper vaping - got a blister pack and some liquid and haven't looked back since. I've now gone off the deep end with it, like many, I have turned it into a hobby. I have been rebuilding, modding, and going completely crazy with juice purchases. It's keeping me off the stinkies, so I can't complain.

The custard flavor is decent, but there is an artificial flavor to it. I taste it more and more the longer I vape it. I vaped it side by side to Banilla (epic Juices) and I didn't think it held up. Mabye not the fairest comparison, but I would personally put custard and other vanilla flavors into a similar category.

Wow wow wow. Love this stuff. It isn't a complex vape, it does what it says on the tin. Custard and intense vanilla (definitely not chemically, perhaps they extract it from beans themselves). Can't fault it.

I had a friend who was saying that this custard is by far the best custard on the community.
So i had to give a try to make sure that he was right...
Well am always honest and fair to my reviews.
Its a good try and its def a custard taste and a good one for sure.
Lets say i love it more than the GVC but....
No there are better custards on the net for sure.
I dont like the pg/vg ratio , pg ruin my vape.I love the smoothness of the vg especially on custards and sweet vapes.
I steeped it for 15days but nothing changed.I follow the instructions from ther site but nothing seem to change dramatically as more people say.
Anyway , its a good buy :)

Custard’s Last Stand 8.8

I ordered this on the 21st November and it arrived with me in the UK the 27th, which I thought was hugely impressive. The one downside is they don't do Paypal, you have to pay by card through their secure server, but if you don't mind doing that, then its no biggie really. You can choose between 6,12 and 18mg. He even has a blurb on each flavours page on how to get the best out of it, which is double handy.

THE BOTTLES: The bottles (I ordered this and Creme Brulee) arrived very well packaged and the labels contained all the information you'd require. No tactile label though. Also noted on the label is the date the juice was 'born'.

THE METHOD: I put this through an Evod, a Protank and an IGO-L with by far the best results coming from the Protank and Evod, I found the IGO didn't give do it justice at all so that's either because i'm dim at wicking the IGO (Quite possible) or just personal taste. I also used my Sigelei as well as an EGO-C 1300 and a Riva 1100 and got by far the best results on the Sigelei at between 9-10.5w.

THE JUICE: Open opening, it smelled as you'd expect, of custard. Not as strong as some i've sniffed but that's no bad thing. It's a 50/50 blend. The vendor does say that this is good to go when you receive it, but at the same time says it'll peak at 10-14 days steeping time. Considering this was made on the 11th, it arrived just in time! Having finally settled on the Sigelei and flicking between 9w and 10.5w, I have to say that it tastes rich, creamy and smooth with hints of a rich vanilla eggyness that's just right.......there's a really nice rounded velvety sweetness to it both on the inhale and exhale but the eggyness or vanilla comes out more on the exhale..........i'm looking forward to the juice maturing further. It's lovely. Its lush. And it's consistent. I've found with some custards that the flavour sort of disappears after a few puffs or the aftertaste vanishes, not with this, it just keeps on delivering clouds of creamy goodness.

THE VAPOUR: Plenty of it, no complaints there.

THROAT HIT: Initially not much but once i'd worked some juice through the Evod it improved and was sufficient.

THE VERDICT: Would I buy more? Absobloodylutely! Another juice added to my 'stable' as it were. Personally, i'd put it up alongside Mrs Lords Custard Cream in the custard stakes. Next time i'll be buying it in the right strength too!! This is a really, really nice juice.

Custard’s Last Stand 11.0

I heard about this through the forums and facebook. I have been on the search for a holy grail vanilla, and heard about CLS. I hopped onto the nicoticket website, and ordered one right away, then, found out a local vape shop carries nicoticket juices, and had CLS in stock. Yay!!!! After placing my order, I went to the shop to get another bottle. Upon opening up the bottle, the vanilla-goodness smelled so good, I opened up the new tank i bought, and filled it up. Oh my gosh. Perfect. Rich, creamy, thick vanilla. So good. Perfection in a bottle. I am so glad I have another one coming, because the one I purchased is almost done! This is definitely on my top 5 list, and my ADV.

This is a competitor for my ADV behind Nicoticket's Creme Brûlée. The vanilla is definitely not a flavoring as it tastes of true vanilla. The mouthfeel, while not as heavy as CB, is still very full with a nice amount of vapor. The flavor is very rich, creamy, sweet and heavy on vanilla. The sweetness is perfect for a dessert cape like this and not cloying at all. I've tried this in a bottom feeder as well as a Pro Tank on a Provari and it shines on both setups.

Custard’s Last Stand 11.0

This is a very true custard and ver real vanilla vape. I have tried long and hard to find one that had no weird chemical taste in either the inhale or exhale and this one blew me away! It is a beautifully crafted juice and the hint of egg is just perfect so it doen't taste like you're vaping a jello pudding cup but a real homemade custard. All I can think is I wish it had a wee bit of nutmeg to remind me of the custard my mom made. It is so calming a wonderful I have blended it with lesser juices to make them very good rather than barely passable, though I don't do this often as I hate to waiste the pure juice taste. This is a complete winner in my book!

Test equipment: (1) SMOK Mega Carto 1.8 ohm on an iTaste VV V3.0 & (2) iClear16 2.5 ohm on an iTaste SVD

Scent Profile: If the scent is any indicator of the quality of the juice, then my olfactory perception is having an orgasmic experience. The vanilla and subdued caramel is making love to the lingering cinnamon, fruit and other decadent aromas. This will put a smile on any grumpy face, and fast!

The power of aroma therapy is no longer in the realm of junk science, and I believe it is no fluke Mr. Brooks is involved in the Mental Health industry. Just mossy over the “Nicoticket Family Virtual Vapemeet and eLiquid Support Group” to understand the power of proactive therapy, be it smell, taste or the “just let it all out” kind of thing!

Da Taste: 10/12/13 (1) [8 day old – 3 day steep] This is an easy choice for an ADV, even with the orgasmic gustation side effect…
First off, the vanilla base does not have an artificial aftertaste that is sickly or synthetically sweet, just straight up smooth (burp, Mmm mmm... good!). Even though CLS smelled very sweet in the bottle, as soon as the vaper hits the tongue, on through the exhale and into the tingling linger of the after taste, you know this juice has quality ingredients. Then you think, I need more, a LOT MORE!

Da Taste: 10/13/13 (1) [9 day old – 4 day steep] The flavor is only getting better, smooth, sinful and decadent. The subtle under tones are beginning to rise. The mild fruit with a familiar spice that blends oh so well with the front end will justify chain vaping... This compexity only makes the profile that much harder to grasp. This nectar of the gods is just way too addictive, now I understand the Hype!

Da Taste: 10/13/13 (2) [10 day old – 5 day steep]
Wow, really good on an iClear16 @ 2.2ohm. Not at all masked or subdued, not the norm for me.
Figured after using a SMOKTECH rejuvenator carto, the up font flavor would take a down turn as usual. Very good news for Clearo users! Looks like this will be competing for the top spot with the N1H1 Tobacco.

Notes: I'll try to keep the drooling to a minimum, that you very much!
If you ordered only 15ml bottle, you have my sympathy and commiseration, with a price…
When the master mixologist runs out of his “mad scientist” ingredients then l will need your shoulder to cry on. Yeah, it’s that good.
Reviewing this is like describing the awesomeness of a clear winter sunset with crashing waves over the Oregon coast to a bind person.
I cannot do this juice review justice, so let me add :
Should you not want to try this, I can only thank you for raising my chances of not seeing the dreaded “Out of Stock” order page…. Some what J

Hmm, that word of mouth thing could cause me some grief…

Personal note: Really glad I tried BB & GJ from AVE 1st, they are not bad, but Nicoticket has spoiled me.
Artisan Mixology is still in its infancy, and Clark just became my Big Daddy Vapor Chef.
Thanks Pa!
Side note: Do not recommend this to a first timer; it really will make them jaded.

CLS is why I ordered from Nicoticket, and I am genuinely in love with this liquid.

It's a perfect, gourmet custard for custard fans. I keep hearing the word "eggy" when it comes to ALL custard vapes, and frankly I am not detecting this note and glad for it.

It is rich but like a custard in that it isn't all up in your face like FLAVORS BEEOTCH. Another definite ADV from Nicoticket, and one I will certainly order again.

As a new vaper I may not know all the juices, but I've tried about 30 here and there, and this is in my top 2.

I gave nicoticket a chance when I first heard of them and so glad I did. He has exceptional customer service and a winning lineup.
Custards Last Stand is delicious, it is full of flavour and doesn't disappoint. It is so creamy and true to the vanilla custard taste that lingers on the palette. It has a good throat hit and plumes of vapour for my 65/35 mix. CLS is in my daily rotation along with what is known as Rapture due to my request for ClS with a hint of cinnamon and it is also devine. They are both must have's in my day to day vaping arsenal and have hit vaping perfection for me.
Nicotickets juices hit the bar, quality, service and flavour that get u hooked.

Custard’s Last Stand 10.2

Ok , The reviews are in. There is nothing I can add in words that will do this liquid any justice. This was my first offering from Nicoticket and I was floored! First impressions are everything and after taking the second or third puff , I looked at my 50ml bottle and wished it was a 500ml bottle. I am a tobacco lover at heart but when every other kid was getting strawberry or chocolate or the green St.Paddy's day shake at McDonalds , I was always with the plain Jane vanilla. The vanilla you get from this vape is special and you can taste that this is a homemade vanilla bean steep. Needless to say after vaping nothing but tobacco for the last few years , I can't see myself being without this one . Have no fear purchasing this juice , it will go 12 rounds with the best vanilla custard vapes in the world!
If you read the last paragraph in Vapor Vickies review of this juice , I will back every word of that. There are some vendors out there that have outstanding juice. There are some that have great customer service , but finding those two qualities in one vendor is rare and worth it's weight in hand mixed e liquid! Clark is "The Wizard of Nebraska"

Custard's Last Stand is absolutely the best juice that I've tried so far. It tastes just like vanilla Custard! Smooth and creamy flavor with an awesome throat hit and vapor production. I'm using a simple setup. A Protank mini with a Vision Spinner. I ordered it with 50 /50 pg/vg with no flavor shots. This juice does not need extra flavor shots. This became my all day vape the day it hit the mail box. I knew I was supposed to let it steep for best results, but I HAD to try it, and I fell in love. After steeping it got even better (which I didn't think was possible). I have already reordered and will always keep a supply of this one at home. It has an amazing creamy vanilla flavor. Actually can feel the creaminess in my mouth if that makes sense. Produces great vapor and throat hit.

Not only is the liquid amazing but also the best customer service I have experienced in a vendor so far.

My set up is pretty simple, Evods and a Vision Spinner. I hear it's even better in more advanced equiptment, but I just don't know how that is possible!

I was mainly ordering from MBV, tried a lot of other vendors, some with a lot of hype, so I had given up trying other juices, but saw everyone talking about CLS on ECF, doubted the hype about the juice, but decided to try anyway, I was surprised, the hype lived up, this juice is really good, in fact all NT juices are. CLS is good straight away, and only gets better with age, I really enjoy it most in the morning, as such a nice smooth creamy vape, but can easily vape it all day long. With all the different juice vendors I have tried, NT has most vapor from the juices too.
If you like vanilla custard vapes, you will love this juice.

Custard’s Last Stand 10.5

Company Website
Nicoticket is a new company based out of Omaha. Clark is the owner and from what I can take, is really passionate about his recipes and his customer service. The site is simple and the descriptions are very detailed with specifics on a recommended PG/VG ratio and most favorable delivery device to be used. There is no guessing here and I really like that.

Options
PG/VG Viscosity - Options here go from Max Pg to Max VG and everything in between.
Nicotine Strength - Standard from 0 to 24mg
Bottle Size - 15ml, 30ml, 50ml.
Flavor Shots - Yes (but not really needed)
Menthol - Yes to add
Flavor Fusion - able to add any fruit flavor to your juice!

Ordering process/Shipping
They have secured shopping, which is a must. I received a personal email from the owner that day thanking me for my purchase. They offered a link to their facebook site showing with the processing times were and that was appreciated. I'm willing to wait for juice when a company is honest about it. It took 2 days to process but when it shipped, it shipped fast! In 2 days I had the juice in my hands! It came in a package with a note from the owner and the package itself was decorated with words like VAPEMAIL!

The Juice!
Finally, the actual review. OK, I ordered this juice because I was looking for a USA brand of a famous "grant's vanilla custard" and heard through rumorville that Nicoticket's "Custard's Last Stand" was similar. So I gave it a shot not really knowing what to expect. I didn't wait for it to steep, I just dove right in and loaded my protank. 50/50 pg/vg, did not opt for any of the options.

Wow! What yummy delicious vape. A fellow vapor was with me and asked to try it just based on my facial expression alone. The usual menthol vapor tried my juice and thought it was really good too and she's not much into "dessert vapes." However, I really wouldn't classify this as a dessert vape. I sipped on it for a while and my wife asked if I liked it. I told her I did but to ask me again in a day. You see, while I like dessert vapes, they can wear off pretty quick and since I'm not a sweet tooth kind of person, dessert vapes tend to get old and sit at my desk for a while before I go back to it. I call this "staying power." Others call this an ADV(All Day Vape).

Custard's last stand made it to day 2 and I still found myself reaching for it. I couldn't put it down really. Loved the vanilla on the front and the custard on the end. However, the flavor started to dull itself out. Not surprising, as I find a lot of flavors do that to me on a Protank. So next, I threw some drips in my SS Mesh RDA. An RDA will show a juice's true colors. Beer when not ice cold will give you it's true flavors. Good beer will be just as good if served at room temperature, while bad beer will get exposed. The RBA/RDA does the same as it will either expose a weakness or show it's strength. I'm happy to say, that this particular juice went to a whole new level. While it's still good in a protank(which I still use for driving), it really shines in an RDA. I get more of the custard on the exhale than I did with the protank. Each vape offers another level of flavor. This has quickly jumped to an all day vape level. Throat hit was about a 5/10. It's there, but not strong at all. Ideally, I would like it to be a little more. But the taste of the juice makes up for it 10 fold.

Overall, I found that's the site's description was spot on and to really listen to their recommendations as far as options go. You could also add another element of flavor fusion which can work really well in this particular juice. Customer service was 5 stars. juice 5 stars. I will order again very soon and will also check out their Creme Brulee. Betelgeuse was another that came highly recommended.

Custard’s Last Stand 11.0

Nicoticket hand-mixes each bottle and does not batch-mix, meaning there is a waiting period when you place an order before it is made and ready to ship. The waiting period is an average of seven to ten days. I plan ahead and order my juice early to allow the time for it to be made; I don't wait until I am running out to order.

Custard's Last Stand(CLS) and its sister, Creme Brulee, are my ADV(All-Day-Vape). I have been vaping these since the vendor was new and just getting started. I took a chance on a new vendor and it paid off as I have enjoyed every juice (over 10 flavors at this point). The juices are very easy on atties; the only one that has gunked up my atomizers at all is the H1N1(probably due to the NET tobacco). They burn clean and can tolerate high heat well.

CLS is a rich, decadent, creamy vanilla custard vape that has massive vapor production, perfect throat-hit (it kicks but doesn't knock you out), and rich, creamy texture with notes of citrus that are barely detectable but serve to boost the flavor notes of the vanilla and custard. It has a satisfying creamy texture...a full texture...in your mouth and satisfies your tastebuds with a decadent and rich creamy mouth-feel.

I have waited to review these juices for the reason that I wanted to check consistency. I wanted to see if the mixologist always used the same recipe, always used the same amount of flavoring, and did not send me something wonderful one time and then send something sub-par the next time. So far, the CLS has been the same each time. No recipe variations here and the same amount of flavor each time...not reduced flavor as some vendors do, nor watered down juice. I do not order the pre-steeped version; I have mine custom made using max vg and 5 flavor shots. This does take extra time to get but I don't mind waiting for my perfect bottle. Clark, the master mixologist, has even managed to remember exactly how I like mine to be mixed...even tho he has thousands of bottles going through and numerous customers. If I make a mistake on an order, he automatically corrects it for me since he remembers my personal preferences.

Points of interest with this vendor: he does his own in-house vanilla bean extraction. He does his own in-house tobacco extraction. He does not charge extra for this as he wants everyone to be able to afford quality, hand-made eliquids. Here is a vendor that is genuinely concerned and cares about his customers. He is active in the community and forums and never hides in his lab ignoring his customers. If a problem does arise, he addresses it quickly, honestly and never tries to deny or avoid it. He will bend over backwards to help a customer in any way he can.

Custard’s Last Stand 7.4

There's something about this custard that isn't sitting right with me. It has sharp edges to it, which no custard vape should have. I've tried at least half a dozen custards from different juice makers out there and this one stands out as truly missing the mark. I'm thinking at this point that I may haven't gotten an "off" batch, as I hear others describe it as creamy and that seems to be missing.

The throat hit seems a bit much for a custard, as well. When I received it, it was pre-steeped. I dripped into an Igo-L on a silica wick and immediately noted the sharpness to it. It dominates the palate. I tried it in an iclear 16 and then a 30, both of them should have rounded out the flavor a bit more, but it didn't. I did taste a bit more vanilla to it in those tanks. I've also tried it in a Protank, to no avail.

Custard’s Last Stand 10.3

Since I started vaping, I never thought I would enjoy a sweet juice. Oh how I was wrong. And this one has sky rocketed right to the top of my sweet vapes list. CLS is a very clean and crisp flavor, with a good amount of vanilla on the inhale and custard and vanilla flavor with the exhale. There is an ever so slight spice taste in the liquid rounding out the flavor, making it a most complete and satisfying vape. The custard leaves a full mouth feel which is often missing from the dessert e-liquids I have vaped from other companies.
I ordered CLS at a 50/50 PG/VG mix with 6mg nic with NO additional flavor shots. I have vaped this juice using a Provari and a Vamo with an RDA and a couple of Kanger Protanks. I have not had any coils gunk up on me so far. That makes the performance of this juice really stand out. In fact I’m now only using a Protank due to the fact that this juice is with me at all times because I can count on the performance and the flavor of CLS to be there for me, no matter where I am.
Additional flavor shots are not needed with CLS or any of the other e-liquids I have sampled from Nicoticket, unless your taste buds are still trying to recover from the years of analog abuse (even then I suggest trying without additional shots first). I also did not need to steep this juice as I have had the same great flavor from day 1 to now (I did let it sit for a week to re-check the flavor, and it surpasses my expectations.
Nicoticket will see a lot more of my business, no question there. Great mixing job and I look forward to trying many additional flavors soon. Your effort really shines through with this e-liquid.
