Ambrosia…. Custard, get it? Seriously, this is so good you might never vape anything else again. Not too sweet but very smooth with vanilla undertones and excellent vapour production.

Ambrosia 10.8

Let's start at the beginning - it seems a good place to start. I am NOT easily pleased. In fact, I'm a grumpy sod and I'm also a food and flavour snob. If the flavour is wrong, or not as advertised then I become more grumpy to the point where I do my own head in. I've gone through juice after juice and there's only really three, maybe four of them at a push where I think, "Yeah, this is it, this juice kicks ass and I can vape this till the end of time." So yeah, I've wasted quite a bit of money on this hobby and when I get a juice that ticks all the boxes and rises above the boxes, then the elation is palpable.

Ambrosia by Accies ticks the boxes, blasts through them with the force of a thousand supernovae and basically wins the game. I ordered this from RedJuice on Tuesday. It arrived on Wednesday, so great service there. When I picked the brilliantly packaged parcel up off the floor, the aroma coming out of the box was unreal. This is the first time I've ever been able to smell a juice through a box. Unreal. There wouldn't be any steeping done here. Not today.

I eagerly grabbed my Nautilus, preparing myself to be let down as is the norm, and filled that baby up.

It's one of the few juices I've had which tastes just like the smell from the bottle. So, the flavour? Subtle vanilla sweetness on the inhale, creamy, custardy goodness on the exhale and a long, smooth flavour that stays with you afterwards, rather than disappearing immediately. It really is top-drawer stuff and not too sweet. It's good with a glass of wine too, so many other liquids taste pretty bad with booze.

I stepped down from 18 to 12mg for this one as I'm trying to lower my nic intake. I was prepared for the lack of throat hit, but there's a good solid kick there too - again, I'm very pleased.

Vapour production is thick and billowy, which is to be expected from a high VG mix.

To summarise then, this grumpy sod is one happy vaper.

Ambrosia 10.0

Revisited this juice after being supplied some by a friend originally. Glad I did I found it nothing like gvc IMHO. Very different on the exhale reminds me more of redwood than gvc. Great vapour production, good throat hit and stepping obviously only improves it as the sample I had was approx for months old and nearly black in colour but with a fantastic smell. Will be buying more only negative was I felt silly for not revisiting sooner as gvc put me off custards.I have clones of gvc in my possession this is not one. A very good juice in its own right.

Ambrosia 9.3

Ordered this after reading about it on UK Vapers. Accies was a really great guy to deal with - very friendly and efficient delivery.

To be completely honest, I tried it first in a low-resistance eGo-T tank (as I wasn't ready to empty and rebuild the Kayfun and was impatient) and I was a little worried as it just didn't work for me. It's quite sweet and packs a fair amount of vanilla, and I was getting a kind of "powdered dairy" taste... I just put that down to the poor set-up and planned to try again later...

After a couple of days I popped some in a rebuilt Kayfun Lite and that made ALL the difference :) The vanilla is still quite intense at first, but I found after a few tokes my taste-buds adjusted nicely. Strong vanilla cream on the inhale with an utterly delicious custard on the exhale. The only way I can describe the after-taste is sort of a cross between custard and rice pudding. Extremely moreish!

Aside from the wonderful flavours and aroma, the other stand-out factor has to be the vapour production! As a largely VG liquid you'd expect it to deliver here and it doesn't disappoint! Thick clouds of vapour are delivered and that adds to the experience immensely. Consequently (due to the high VG) there isn't much of a throat hit (although there is some), but actually that seems to work out well. I do have 18mg too, but haven't tried that yet - I suspect that may hit a tad harder due to the higher nicotine content, but really it's ample for my vaping style as is!

I've now tried it as an all-day vape and it works! I'm not exclusive with my ADV as I find that variety helps to keep things interesting, but Ambrosia is definitely joining my list.

Top marks to Accies for a tasty concoction!

Ambrosia 10.3

This one for me has the edge on GVC, i ordered some of Grants and for me personally grants was abit sickly, i tried Accies and i haven't taken it out the tank since.

The smooth creamy taste is really to die for, and the after taste is just wicked.

Its each to there own with this one, as some people love GVC but for me Accies has the edge.

Ambrosia 9.8

I really didn't want to compare this to GVC because Accie's Ambrosia is quite clearly not intended to be a clone of it, however I think it's basically impossible to review a custard liquid without at least a passing mention so let's get that over with: It is nowhere near as Vanilla heavy as GVC, not as sweet, and not as sickly. If you find that the other custards on the market are just too sweet and sickly for you to vape for any length of time, Accie's Ambrosia is for you.

The initial taste of flavour you get is quite subtle, possibly a little too subtle on the inhale, but this liquid is all about the exhale in my opinion. There is a rich very custard heavy taste of Vanilla custard during the exhale, and then a very very nice aftertaste that lingers on the tongue. The throat hit is there but not too strong, and the vapor production is excellent.

With other custards I find I get an instant 'crack' like enjoyment out of them, but they aren't satisfying in the long term. Ambrosia doesn't feature that instant gratification quite as much, but is much more fulfilling over the course of the day. The more of this I vape, the more I want to vape (and I can because it isn't sickly!).

There are only three minor downsides that I see:

1.) Only availible by pm'ing on forums at the moment. Minor quibble.
2.) The initial hit of flavour on the inhale is possibly a little too subtle (but it doesn't lack for flavour in any other department.
3.) Some people might find the throat hit slightly lacking. I personally find it to be just right for me, but then I have never really been one to chase that 'rip your throat out' hit that some people seek. But for the record I'd rate this throat hit as equal to the other custard liquids I have tried.

Everything else about this liquid is simply lovely, and I would highly recommend it to people who have been disappointed by the wide range of Vanilla custards on the market that are all essentially the same. Accie's Ambrosia is something a little different, and fills a market gap nicely.

Ambrosia 8.5

Really impressed with this. Found out about it when I was talking about lesser known juices on ukvapers. The home-brew scene is really taking off over here and some of the smaller juice makers are making some incredible stuff that shouldn't be missed - Ambrosia included.

This stuff vapes like a train. Like GVC it's more vanilla-esque as a flavour with a heavy hitting natural custard after-taste. It's a deep amber colour on arrival so I think it's at least a little pre-steeped and the bottle gives a delicious vanilla aroma on opening. The first vape immediately assaults your tastebuds with a rich vanilla custard flavour that's really, really tasty. On the exhale I get lots (and I mean lots) of vapour - way more than I'm used to with vanilla's - and a creamy almost Tia Maria/Irish Cream liquor flavour stays with me for a while after breathing out.

It's a little sweet, but not so much that it's sickly and overall the balance is really nice. Packaging is great (10ml bottle comes with child safe cap and proper information/warning label as standard). Wicking is spot on and the flavour is super rich. Throat hit is gentle at 18mg but grows with longer inhalations.

GVC is supposed to be the holy grail of custards but this, hmm this is good. I've got GVC in one iclear30 and Ambrosia in another, and so far today I've not switched apart from to compare - and I went straight back to ambrosia.
